Skarren Jr., 48. died Tuesday, Oct. 6, in Austin, Tex. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Funeral services were held in Austin Wednesday and burial was there. Mr. Skarren, a native of Beau fort, attended St. Paul's School and graduated from the Wake Forest Law department. He practiced law in Beaufort for seven years before moving to Washington, D. C. He was formerly secretary of Southeastern University in Wash ington. and manager of the Wash inton Better Business Bureau. He joined the American Red Cross in 1943 and went overseas as field director with the 9th In fantry Division.
