The following regulations were
adopted at the October 19-20, 1953,
meeting of the Board of Conserva
tion and Development, under and
in accordance with the regulatory
powers vested by Chapter 113, Sec
tions 135 and 136 of the General
Statutes of North Carolina in said
Board. These regulations have been
filed with the Secretary of State
cf North Carolina, certified copies
dispatched by registered mail to
the Clerks of the Superior Court
of the twenty-one counties having
commercial fishing waters and ad
vertised once a week for four
weeks as provided by law.
Any violation of these regula
tions under the provisions of law
constitutes a misdemeanor.
NEW REGULATION

"Regulation No. 115: It shall be
unlawful to set pound nets in the
middle third of Albemarle Sound
beginning at a line drawn from
Caroon Point to the west point
of Collington Island known as
Rodham's and extending through
out the Sound, in a general
northwesterly and westerly di
rection, except that this shall not
prohibit the use of pound nets
in the areas set aside for such
fishing covered by Rules 98 and
Rules 100 of the Rules and Regu
lations of the North Carolina
Commercial Fisheries."
