Afternoon Worship Churches to Join In Relief Crusade Many churches in the county will join with thousands of others in the United States Sunday in beginning a week of special emphasis on the ministry of the churches to those in need in foreign lands where war, famine and natural disasters have left millions homeless, hungry and destitute. On the following Sunday, March 28. special offerings will be made in the churches in response to the "One Great Hour of Sharing" ap peal of the 1954 United Appeal of major Protestant and Eastern Or thodox denominations for support of their programs of overseas re lief, rehabilitation and reconstruc tion. More than $8,000,000 will be re quired in 1954 for the individual and cooperative relief programs of the denominations supporting the United Appeal, which is sponsored by the Department of Church World Service of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the U.
