There will be a sunrise baptism service Easter Sunday morning at the south end of ISth street at 6 o'clock. The Rev. Noah Brown, pastor of the church, will deliver the sermon. Otway Church The evangelistic meetings in the Otway Christian Church will con tinue through Wednesday night. Services begin at 7:30. Pastor of the church is the Rev. Zeph De Shields. Webb Presbyterian Church Dr. L. A. Taylor, Wilmington, executive secretary of the Wilming ton Presbytery, will conclude a se ries of meetings in Webb Memorial Presbyterian Church at 7:30 Sun day night. He will also speak at the church at 7:30 tonight. The Rev. Priestley Conyers, pas tor of the church will deliver the sermon at the 11 a.m. service Easter Sunday. Special music will be under the direction of Dr. Eu gene Roelofs. The Rev. Robert L. Vickery Jr., pastor of the Ocracoke Methodist Church, has announced that there will be three services Easter Sun day. The first will be a Sunrise Service. The congregation will meet at the church at 5 a.m. If weather permits the group will go to the beach for the Sunrise Ser vice. If it is raining, the service will be held in the church. At the 11 o'clock morning ser vice, the Rev. Hiram King, super intendent of the New Bern Dis trict, will preach. At this service there will be baptism of children and Communion. Mr. King will hold the quarterly conference fol lowing the 7:30 evening service. ? The Rev. Lonnie D. Munn will conduct the revival meetings from Sunday through April 25 in the Marshallberg Baptist Church and the Rev. E. C. Wilkie will conduct services in the Woodville Church April 26 through May 2. Both churches are participating in the "Simultaneous Evangelistic Revival" to take place throughout The Rev. Lonnie D. Munn the Atlantic Baptist Association. Mr. Munn was educated at Win gate, Wake Forest and the Univer sity of North Carolina. He has served the Badin Baptist Churph 21 years. He has been a member of the General Board of the Baptist State Convention, president of the Board of Trustees of Wingate Col lege and a member of the Council on Christian Education. Services will begin at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Wilkie is known to many people in this area, reports the Rev. A. L. Benton, pastor of the Marshallberg Baptist and Wood vilie Baptist Churches. He was reared in the Baptist Orphanage and was at one time pastor of the church at the Kennedy Home. Mr. Benton urges worshippers to attend each service. The Woodville services also begin at 7:30 p.m. ? The Woman's Society of Chris tian Service of the First Methodist Church, Morehead City, extendi a cordial invitation to everyone to attend the three-hour community aervice from noon to 3 p.m. today in the church. The theme will be on the last seven words of Christ on the cross. Persons may enter the church at 25- minute intervals or may stay for the entire service, says Mrs. Darden Eure, chairman. Pastors who are participating are Dr. John Bunn. the Rev. Noah Brown, the Rev. R. M. Poulk, the Rev. Priestley Conyers III, the Rev. W. E. Anderson, the Rev. E. H. Harden and the Rev. E. The community Good Friday ser vice in Morehead City has become a tradition. The first service was held 12 years ago. Revival to Begin Monday In Ocracoke Church Revival services will begin in the Ocracoke Methodist Church Mon day through Friday with the Rev. J. W. Hoyle Jr. preaching. Mr. Hoyle is pastor of the Elmwood Methodist Church, Greenaboro. Mr. Hoyle preached at Ocracoke 30 years ago and friends are look ing forward to his return. First Baptist'Choir i To Give Program Tonight At the 7 :30 service tonight in the First Baptist ' Church, Mwehead City, the senior choir will present "Meditations of the Seven Sayings on the Cross." Wilkie Motorist Gets Prompt Retort Burlington, Iowa (AP) ? A mo torist baited his car at an intersec tion here to lecture a woman who was crouing a street against a red taaffic light. The woman pedestrian retorted: "Look, mister. I've got a frus trated mother-in-law, a little boy that takes after his father, and I'm behind on my television payment? but I don't have to take a lot of dfibble from a complete stranger." A startled bystander who wit nessed the incident said the woman then swung the sack she was carry ing, hitting the motorist in the face. The sack contained eggs ? apparently about a dozen of them. As the eggs splattered on the nun's face, his suit and down the side of the car door, the woman proceeded to cross the street. The light was green by that time.
