ken caught fire during a comedy
routine.
Since then, he hat not dared to
go near an open (ire or a 'burning
candle or lantern on the set, lor
fear of touching off hit whiskers.
During the filming of one of his
recent pictures, he confided his
misfortune to the make-up man,
who immediately put him out of
his misery.
Using a solution which is the
best for a certain type of Duke-up,
the man developed a fluid, which,
when applied to human hair,
makes it practically non-inflam
able. To St. John fell the honor of
being the first to try it out. From
now on. nothing can stop the little
comedian . . . water, fire or what
have you.
"After all," he says, "I've been
wearing the whiskers for years,
and it's no time to have to start
growing a new crop."
Oh yes, "Fuzzy" finds that there
is just one thing wrong with bis
whisker solution. Its basic odor is
not very pleasant, so it has to be
toned with perfume, and .as St.
John says, "after the solution is
applied, one would think that I just
left a barber shop where the bar
ber became over liberal with his
tonics."
Appearing with A1 "Fuzzy" St.
John on his all fun all-western
stage show will b? Slim Burns and
the Musical Rangers.
