girl or one group. Thia year, girls
and boys will be selected on a dis
trict basis. District elimination
will be held July 8 in Washington,
N. C. Several boys and girls in
Carteret County have expressed a
desire to enter this contest. The
county elimination will be held
June 22. Time and place have not
been announced.
Any 4-H club girl or boy may
enter regardless of age if they are
actively enrolled at the present
time. Suggested areas of talent
are as follows:
A. Individuals: toeal solo. In
strumental solo, dancing (tap or
ballet, novelty), puppetry, animal
act, acrobatics, ventriloquists, ba
ton twirling, irh personations, read
ings or recitations; miscellaneous.
B. Group participation: vocal
quet, trio, quartet, instrumental
band, dancing (folk, square, nov
elty), puppetry, animal act, skit,
miscellaneous.
Any 4-H member interested
should contact the home agent or
assistant county agent for more in
formation concerning this contest.
