IS, in the Ebeneter Methodist Church near the Bobbltta community, six miles from Louisburg. Burial was in the family cemetery. Mrs. Ayscue had been in poor health for some time. In addition to her son in Morehead City, jhe is survived by her husband, and the following children: Mrs. Stephen Pace. Bobbitts. a son Grover and .1 daughter. Mrs. Luna Leonard, both of the home; a son Cercia, Frank linton; and two other sons, Newell of Henderson and Leonard who is stationed with the Army in Korea. WALTER M. DAVIS Funeral services for Walter M Davis, 78, of Beaufort, who died Friday morning in the Baptist Hos pital, Winston-Salem, after a long illness, were held at 2 o'clock Sun day afternoon at the home of his sister. Mrs. Nettie Davis, Davis. Burial was in the family cemetery at Davis. Surviving are his sister, Mrs. Davis, and two brothers. Dalton and Elmore, both of Beaufort. MRS. DORA BAXTER BEAM Mrs. Dora Baxter Beam, 89, mother of Mr. C. L. Beam of Beau fort, died Friday at Hayesville, Clay County, following a heart at tack. Funeral services were held in Bess Chapel, Cherryville, at 11 o'clock Sunday morning and burial was in the family plot. Surviving Mrs. Beam are three sons, C. L. Beam. William of Ka leigh, Ervin of Plymouth, and one daughter, Mrs. J. Walter Moore of Hayesville. MRS. ROY LINCOLN Mrs. Stella Piner Lincoln, 72, of Morehead City, died Sunday morn ing in Morehead City Hospital. Jesse Stoton, First Methodist Church, was the guest speaker at the Thursday night meeting of the More head City Tri Hi Y at the civic center. He spoke on "The Difference Between Your Character and Your Reputation." Miss Polly Guthrie presided over the meeting and the following girls took part in the program: Mis* Marie Durham. Miss Vema Jean Rabon. Miss Anna Willis and Miss Novella Reid. The meeting was adjourned with the friendship circle. Mr?. A. H. Weeks Hosts Thursday Bridge Club The Thursday Night Bridge Club met with Mrs. A. H. Weeks last week. Mrs. William Cherry was the guest for the evening. Mrs. A. B Vick Jr. was winner of high score. Mrs. Carl Gunnerson won second high and Mrs. Jasper Phillips won low. White gladiolas were used to dec orate the living room and refresh ments of lemon meringue pie and coffee were served. The next meeting of the club will be at the home of Mrs. Gus Davis Bunn, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Bay View Cemetery. Mrs. Lincoln, daughter of the late Capt. Benjamin and Catherine Piner of Morchead City, is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Ula Stroupe of Mount Holly; a son, Charles R. Lincoln Jr. of More head City; a sister. Mrs. Cathrine Pake of Beaufort; a brother, Sher wood Piner of New Rochelle, N. Y.; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Lincoln organized the first PTA in Morehead City, served as its president and also held a state office in the organization. She was a charter member of the Morehead City Woman's Club, a member of the Garden Club and organized the first Fidelis Sunday School Class .at the Baptist Church. She served as its teacher, and was active in the missionary, society of the church.
