thbrized an increase to full power
for television station WNCT, Chan
nel Nine, effective immediately,
announces A. Hartwell Campbell,
general manager.
Directors of the Carolina Broad
casting System, Inc., operators of
WNCT, will meet June 16, for final
disposition of orders for equip
ment which will increase the sta
tion's power to 316.000 watts visual

and 158,000 watts aural, as auth
orized.
With the installation of this
new equipment, WNCT will be op
erating the largest and most pow
erful transmitter in Eastern North
Carolina.
