New AF Program
Brings Results
The new Air Force recnlistment
program for prior - servicemen,
which began last summer, is pro
ducing excellent results, according
to Sgt. James W. Davis, U.S. Air
Force Recruiter for this area.
"With an eye to the special op
portunities now offered to vet
erans, many former servicemen of
all services are reenlisting in the
Air Force," the sergeant said.
He added that a new system for
determining a man's rank, has
enabled the Air Force to enlist
the services of experienced, skilled
technicians.
"For those who desire them,"
Sergeant Davis stated, "30-day ad
vance leaves will also be given to
veterans who re-enlist now. In ad
dition, a skilled veteran can now
select his choice of base."
It was stressed that prior-service
men who have already invested
periods of time to the Armed
Forces should investigate the Air
Force's liberal benefits policy be
fore selecting their permanent ca
reers. "Many will be surprised by
the increased pay, retirement and
family benefits and up-grading op
portunities offered now in the Air
Force," the sergeant concluded
More information concerning the
Air Force's new accent - upon -
skilled recnlistment program may
