Doris Mitchell, a fifth grader

is the first time that a grammar

cousin of Doris. It seems like this
honor runs in the family. Doris
had a total of $78.23. Dorothy Lee
Moore, her cousin, had $78 last
year.
A grand total of $146.60 was
raised.
Runners-up to Doris were: Mary

Clarinet Disappears
1 am just a little boy in the
fifth grade, but someone has giv
en me a big hurt. It hurts so much
that I cry everytime I think of
it. What is this hurt? Well, some
one has taken my clarinet.
1 was really proud of that clari
net and its red and white case.
It was a gift from my aunt and
uncle, and I can imagine how they
feel about its loss.
I had just gotten confidencc in
myself after struggling such a
long time trying to master some
of its simple fundamentals. Now
that I have gained this confidence,
what happens?
Someone has snatched all of the
joy out of my life. Now I don't
know how to smile. I keep look
ing and praying that some way
my clarinet will be returned to
me.
Please if you have seen my clari
net or know of its whereabouts,
help me to be happy once again.
Let me know about it as soon as
[>ossible. I'll be waiting, watching
ind praying at the Queen Street
High School.
