for three days next Wcdntttfay,
Thursday and Friday.
Airman Kramer says the same
opportunities offered to men are
also extended to women who join
the United States Air Force. To be
eligible, women between the ages
of 18 to 34 must be a high school
graduate or pass an equivalent test
and be of high moral character.

Moves to County
Even though she has been in the
county for less than a month, Miss :
Virginia Ihrie is already in great
demand. She is home economist
for Carolina Power and Light Co. j
Miss Ihrie has been home econ- 1
omist for this CP&L district since
1955, but moved from Jacksonville
only last month.
She works with the home eco- j
nomics departments of the schools, '
conducts cooking schools, speaks to
civic groups, does most of her own
publicity work, and gives home
demonstrations of electrical appli
ances.
In 1954 Miss Ihrie was graduated
from Jacksonville State Teachers
College, Jacksonville, Ala., with a
bachelor's degree in vocational
home economics.
Originally from Zebu Ion. N. C.,
Miss Ihrie says that she likes this
part of the state and plans to be
here permanently.
