Health Deparfmenf Announces Dates Of Polio, Pre-School, Typhoid Clinics 26 Attend Music Workshop Twenty-six persons from this county attended the music work shop Tuesday at Washington, N. C. Nine counties were represented. Carteret's delegation was the lar gest. The workshop was sponsored by Home Demonstration Club women and dealt with music reading, choral speaking, hymns of the chureh and music for the home. Police Confiscate Ford Full of Stolen Lead A 1950 Ford, complete with 300 pounds of lead, is sitting in front of the Morehead City Police sta tion. The car was taken into cus tody by the police department when they arrested Clyde Ran dolph Eubanks, Morehead City. He is charged with stealing the lead and four hub caps from Carl Goodwin's salvage yard on the east end of Arendell Street. Eubanks has been released on bond to await trial in Morehead City recorder's court. Detroit (AP)? Deciding that the dog bite is inevitable. Detroit's 2. 500 mailmen are going to grin and bear it. They've used candy, water pistols and even night sticks to dis courage biting dogs, all to no avail. Now, says an official, all postmen will get shots to prevent infections from dog bites. .. njf* ? The schedule of spring polio' clinics for the schools was an nounced this week by the County Health Department. Salter Path School was visited by nurses yesterday. A record has been kept by the health department on children who received shots and how many. Beaufort Chamber Seeks Management for Inlet Inn Glenn Adair, president of the Beaufort Chamber of Commerce, announced yesterday that the chamber has received a letter from H. B. Curran, executive vice president of the North Carolina Hotel Association. Mr. Curran said that an an nouncement of the availability of i the Inlet Inn would appear in the association's bulletin this month. The chamber board of directors has written letters to several pros pective operators, including hotel magnate Conrad Hilton.
