Miss Patricia J. Willis Weds Lonnie M. Luther Miss Patricia Jean Willis be came the bride of Mr. Lonnie M. Luther in a simple ceremony Sun day afternoon at two o'clock at Franklin Memorial Methodist Church. The Rev. Samuel S. Moore, pastor, officiated using the single ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Ned Willis of this city and the late Mr. Willis. The bride groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Luther of Fort Worth, Tex. The bride wore a street length dress of white ruffled dotted swiss with white accessories and a cor sage of white carnations. Miss Wanda Barnes attended the bride as maid of honor. She wore a blue chemise dress with match ing accessories. Mr. Tommy Hut chinson. CGC Chilula, served the bridegroom as best man. The bridegroom is stationed aboard the CGC Chilula and the couple will make their home in Morchead City for the present. They will leave soon on a trip to Arkansas. Catholic Daughters Enjoy Beach Party Monday The Junior Catholic Daughters of St. Egbert's Catholic Church enjoyed a beach party Monday at Sound Beach pool. Swimming was enjoyed by the girls, followed by a picnic supper. Girls attending were Sarah Ro rity, Theressa Bcllamah, Lorraine Hatcher, Rosemary McKenzie, Joyce Femia, Frances Hyman, Brenda and Lillian DeWitt, Rickey Wade, Sharon Conway, and Jerri llart. At their recent meetings the girls have been making toys of terry cloth stuffed with foam rub ber. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Sugg of Greenville, Miss Betty Sugg of Raleigh and Mr. Edwin Wilkerson of Chapel Hill and Greenville were guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Sugg this week. Mrs. W. L. Fulcher returned home Wednesday from Pantego, where she visited relatives for a week. ' Mr. and Mrs. Crump Fulcher, will arrive tonight to spend the weekend here. Mr. Billy Fulcher will leave to morrow for Lockport, N. Y., to spend the month of August with his wife and family. Mrs. Mary G. Hughes and her daughter, Mary Allen, went to Ra leigh Wednesday, where they picked up Mr. Richard Miller at State College. From Raleigh they went to Albemarle to visit Mr. Mil ler's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Miller. Miss Nellie Fulcher will leave tomorrow for Washington, D. C., to visit relatives for a month. Mr. Bill Price and four children are spending this week here. They will attend the Lost Colony at Mantco before returning to their home in Burlington. Dr. and Mrs. A. F. Chestnut and sons left Monday to spend a week at Cherokee. Dr. and Mrs. Sam Barnes and three sons of Chapel Hill will spend the weekend with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Ben Royal. Mrs. A. B. Roberts and daugh ters, Jacquie, Diane, and Grace, visited Lt. Col. and Mrs. Steven son at Camp Lejeune yesterday. Mrs. R. B. Howard has returned home after attending a Presby terian conference at Montreat. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Madures and the Rev. and Mrs. James L. Two Hostesses Entertain At Party Friday Evening Mrs. Joe Rose Jr. and Mrs. Le land Day entertained at a party Friday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Blanchard fol lowing rehearsal of the Campbell Blanchard wedding. The home was decorated with white carnations, ivy and white candles. Fifty guests enjoyed re freshments on the lawn. Cheese straws, turkey, deviled ham and pimento cheese open face sandwiches, ring - shaped sand wiches and fruit punch were served. Obituary FRANK JOYNER The funeral service for Frank Joyner, 58, Beaufort, who died Monday night in the Morehead City Hospital, was conducted Mon day afternoon in the Adair Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Charlie Rice of Russells Creek. Burial was in the Marshall fam ily cemetery, West Beaufort Road. Survivors include two children, Frank and Vivian; four sisters, Mrs. George Warren and Mrs. Noah Avery, both of Beaufort RFD; Mrs. Guion Warren, Wash ington, N. C., and Mrs. Bryan Salter, Tarboro RFD; one brother, Luther of Leggett, N. C., and num erous nieces and nephews. The case against Roma Willis, Beaufort, charged with assaulting an 8-year-old girl June 27 in Beau fort, was continued in county re corder's court yesterday. Willis is out of jail under $3,000 bond.
