Miss Jean Brown Speaks Vows With Roy Kittrell Friday Night Miss Shelby Jean Brown became the bride of Roy Kittrell in a dou ble ring ceremony Friday evening at eight o'clock in the Faith Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Cturles Brown of Elizabeth City, untie of the bride, officiated. The vow* were spoken beneath a white arch entwined with ivy. Floor baskets of white gladiolas, pom poms and greenery and seven - branched candelabra holding lighted tapers were used to decorate the church. Mrs. R. P. Oglesby, organist, and Mrs. Thomas Woodhall, so loist, presented a program of nup tial music prior to the ceremony. Mrs. Woodhall sang Because, I Love You Truly and Wedding Prayer. The bride was given in marriage by her father, the Rev. Noah D. Brown Sr. She wore a formal floor length gown of nylon tulle and chantilly lace. The fitted torso bodice was fash ioned with a scalloped portrait neckline and abbreviated sleeves. The voluminous skirt featured mul tiple tiers of scalloped tulle bor dered with lace. She wore matching gauntlets and a two-tiered fingertip veil of french silk illusion, attached to a coronet of lace and hand-sewn pearls. The bride carried a white Bible topi>cd with a bouquet of white frcnched carnations, showered with lilies of the valley and satin rib bons. Miss Janice Lovick attended the bride as maid of honor. She wore a ballerina length gown of light blue net and lace over taffeta, fashioned with an off-shoulder fit ted bodice and ruffled skirt. She wore a matching blue ruf fled headband and carried a bal lerina bouquet of pastel carnations tied with satin ribbons. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Charles Springle, Miss Shirley Griffin, Miss Sue Bordeaux and Miss Beadie Ballou. They wore pink and blue bal lerina length gowns fashioned sim ilar to that of the honor attendant with matching headbands. They also carried ballerina bouquets of pastel carnations. Miss Peggy Jean Kittrell, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl. She wore a pink dress with match ing headband and carried a pink basket filled with petals. Master Barry Roper was ring bearer. He carricd the rings on a white satin pillow. Walter Kittrell served his bro ther as best man. Ushers were Jimmy Morton, Harry Brown, bro ther of the bride, Charles Springle and Dana Walls. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Brown wore a black dress trimmed with pink satin with matching accessories ' and a cor sage of pink carnations. The mo ther of the bridegroom wore a blue dress with matching accessories and a corsage of pink carnations. Upon their return from a wed ding trip the couple will make their home at Macon Court, More head City. The bride is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Noah D. Brown Sr. She is a graduate of Morehead City High School and is employed at Morehead City Garment Co. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Kittrell. The bride wore a sheath Dior suit in mink beige with a cloche hat of pheasant feathers and beige accessories. She carried a cascade bouquet of fall flowers. Miss Brown, Mr. Kittrell Honored at Cake Cutting Miss Jean Brown and Roy Kit trell, who were married Friday evening at Faith Free Will Bap tist Church, were honored at a cake cutting Thui^day evening at the church prior to rehearsal. The table was covered with a lace cloth and centered with the wedding cake. At one end was placed the punch bowl and at the other end was an arrangement of white carnations. Ivy, wedding bells and streamers were used around the room. Guests were greeted by Miss Janice Lovick. Mrs. Charles Sprin glep resided at the bride's book. Mrs. Loftus Stocks poured punch and Miss Shirley Griffin and Miss Sue Bordeaux served cake. Good byes were said to Miss Beadie Ballou. Married Thanksgiving Day Mrs. Richard L.
