Kellogg has returned home from Vaughnsville, Ohio, where she visited her sister, Mrs. D. L. Thomas. While away she also visited her nephew, George Thomas, and his family in Detroit, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Roberts of this city and Mr and Mrs. Bill Price of Burlington left Wednesday ? for a ten-day trip to Florida. Mrs. A. E. Bowen and her grand daughter, Beverly Bowen, of Wind sor left Thursday after spending several days with Mrs. Bowen's sister and brother in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Purifoy. Mr. E. C. Jernigan of Wilson, new high school supervisor for the county, is living at the C. N. Stroud home. Mrs. J. W. Kellogg spent Thurs day in Jacksonville visiting Mr. and Mrs. Bill White and children, Billy and Susie. Mr. and Mrs. George M. Piner left yesterday for their home in Jacksonville, Fla., after spending the summer with relatives in the county. Mr. Harvey llines of Kinston and Mr. C. B. Wade Jr. of Winston Salem arrived here Friday for their Fall Festival Yields $1,219 For Camp Glenn School Camp Glenn School's fall festival, held Friday night on the school grounds, was a rousing success, according to Mrs. Austin Williams, publicity chairman. A big crowd attended and $1,219 - 34 was taken in. The class room taking in the most money was the ham and turkey booth, which col lected $116. The popcorn and drinks booth, sponsored by two rooms, took in $174, the highest amount in their category. Mrs. Bernard Leary won a painting by Charles McNeill, wafercolor artist of Morehead City. Tre mendous numbers of spots have been caught from the ocean piers since Thursday evening, and all other ocean pier fishing is inciden tal. Spot catches are just as sen sational as before Gracie passed by. One party took home 600 spots; another had 2 bushels Sunday morning. Second only to pier fishing is surf Beaufort; Mrs. Leona Gaskill, Sea Level; Mr. Harvey Brewer, Wins ton-Salem.
