October Bonds Total $72,521 Savings bond sales in the coun ty last month totaled $72,521.59, bringing total sales, as of Oct. 31, to 1643,599 56, according to J. R. Sanders, savings bond chairman. Carteret has now reached 87 6 per cent of its bond sales quota for 1959. The quota is 1734,400. During October, statewide sales of savings bonds, series E and se ries H combined, were up 6.3 per cent over sales of last October. The increase was attributed to the higher interest rate now being paid, 3*4 per cent. The series H bonds showed the strongest increase, with sales be ing 23.6 per cent greater than they were in the same month of a year ago. Concerning Moose Serve s Steak Supper Each I Saturday Night A charcoal steak supper is serv ed each Saturday night at the Moose lodge at Atlantic Beach for members of the lodge and their wives. Supper is $1.25 per person and consists of T-bone steak, french fries, tossed salad, hot rolls and butter. After supper, there is bingo and dancing.
