WSCS Meets The general meeting of the WSCS of St. James Methodist church was conducted recently in the educa tional building. Twenty-five mem bers attended. The meeting open ed with a musical selection for piano by Miss Edith Lockcy. The call to worship was given by Miss Nina Garner, followed by a meditation. Mountains of Noble Adventure. The hymn, Awake, Awake to Love and Work, was sung. A talk on recruitment of mis sionaries, deaconesses and pastors was given by Miss Elsie Elliott. Guest Claim* Motel Manager Took Cash Ralph Davenport, a guest at the Broadway motel, Morehead City, has sworn out a warrant charging Duncan Murray, manager of the motel, with taking 123 and a pint of liquor from his room sometime between 3 and 9 p.m. Saturday. Claude Perkins Smith, Newport, has also been charged with tres passing in Davenport's room. Pa trolman J. C. Steele investigated. Murray posted $150 for his appear ance in Morehead City recorder's court yesterday and Smith posted $100 bond. A letter from a missionary in a foreign field was read by Mrs. Clarence Millis.
