There are quite a few of '.IS, too. Our membership passed the two million mark in 1913, and we have been growing steadily ever since. Our net gain for last 'ear in North Carolina alone was i2'48. This makes a net total membership in this state of 201,254 members, divided into 3654 estsb’ished congregations Brt while we have 1654 estib* liihed c.'jRgregations we have only 1595 Sunday Schools with only 160,730 pupils. We wish them a good time in our comunity. Our community is now in the grip of a series of meetings con ducted by Rev. D. W. White, of Burnsville; as has been previously stated Mr. White is an able speaker, and one who can m.ake plain the gospel and its truth*! These meetings have been well attended and the interest in them seems to be daily growing and much good is expected to result. So far several conversions are re corded also sevei’al reinstate ments. Judging from the efforts pna forth by Mr- White all should look [and live, however in any event if our people are not better upon the conclusion of these services- Our community will be much more wiser in the know ledge of Jesus and his teachings.
