In a letter to his parents the soldier reports: “I have been feeling pretty good lately. Am still connected with the surveying gang and so keep fairly busy. Have been reading lots of fine books which certainly help pass the time. The books are from Red Cross ; which has provided us with so much here that makes life more livable.” SIOUX NEWS Mrs. Esther Whitson and son visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Miller, for the past w r eek. She has re turned to Baltimore where her husband is employed. Mrs. Dove Whitson and daughter of Erwin visited friends at Sioux this week end.
