cording to a concensus of
opinion among members of
the American Pulp and Pa
per Association who atten
dee the 69th annual meet
ing of the group recently
in New York.
Predicting that total
pulpwood receipts might
drop 500,000 cords below
the receipts obtained in
1945, industry spokesmen
stated “these predicticms
would become a certainty
unless the volume of woods
workers is increased con
siderably.”
With the peeling season
approaching, mills in this
ai ea will soon require peel
ed top quality pulpwood.
