Bard of Pitts [ burgh, a friend of the fam [ ily, officiated using the double ring ceremony. The [ vows were spoken before : an improvised altar banked with palms, ferns and oth . er plants. A program of wedding music was presented by Mr. Bard, “Because” and “The i Wedding Hymn” were sung i by Samuel Elliott of Balti more, Md. The wedding party enter- j ed to the wedding march from “Lohengrin” played by Mrs. John Main. The' bride, who w T as given in marriage by a close friend, ! Russell A. Schell of Pitts burgh, wore a gown of white duchess satin with lace insertions and the back ending in a long train. The. fitted bodice was shirred in front, -and fastened with, pearlized orange blossoms. The leg-o’-mutton sleeves ended in points over the hands? Her fingertip veil of bridal illusion was attached to an Elizabethan bonnet made of rose point lace. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and sweet peas. Miss Rheda Pope of Al-1 toona was maid of honor. She wore a blue gowm of taffeta and net with shir red neckline and puff sleev es. Her headdress was of blue mixed flowers with shoulder length veil. She carried an arm bouquet of pink carnations. Paul A. Mieriey of Al toona served as his brother’s best man, and ushers were Earl Main and Robert Hav ener, both of Pittsburgh. Following the ceremony a reception was held for the immediate bridal party at “Hyeholde Inn”, Coraopo lis Heights, Pa. A wedding i cake with miniature bride and groom centered the bridal table and crystal candelabra holding lighted tapers, on each end of the table. After the reception the couple left by motor for a wedding trip to Niagara | Falls and New York City. THE YANCEY RECORD REVIVAiTSEEVICES" l [ i Rev. J. G. Pipes is begin ning a revival meeting at the Byrd’s Chapel church, i Ramseytown, Rev. Jesse i Hughes, pastor. Everybody is invited to attend so that thi s may be a great revival. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Yel ton and family of Detroit, Mich., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Shepherd and other relatives of Bald Creek and Mars Hill, N. C. Mrs. Mieriey wa s gradu ated from Micaville high school and has been em ployed by the Glenn L. Mar tin Co. and the Social Sec urity Board in Baltimore for the past three and one half years. • Pfc. Mieriey was gradua ted from the Altoona high 1 school. Before entering the | army he was employed at the Glenn L. Martin Co. in Baltimore for three and , one-half years. He i s now ( stationed at Camp Lee, Va.
