AN APPRECIATION OF OUR PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES “Tributetribute is due.” Do we ever pay tribute to our Public Health, Service? We know, as par-, ents, teachers and citizens of the three counties, that: we do have a Public Health: Doctor and Nurses, but do 1 we realize the great work that is being done by them?J We know’, vaguely that our children are being vaccinat-| ed for various diseases, and that they are being physi cally examined in the scho ols. Our children come home from school and remark, “The doctor was at school today.” Do we then dismiss the matter from our minds? It probably takes a case like the one in the first grade at Tipton Hill school to really open our eyes. The specialist examined the' child and remarked, “You can thank God that your child was in school the day your doctor came, ancl thaU you have a school doctor, who knew his business.' Having found the disease in time and with proper care and treatment, thg child should soon overcome; the disease- Whereas, if the disease had not been found, her life span could not have exceeded four years.” This is only one of the many services, rendered by ! our Public Health Services.' Cathey, Trustee, for Central Bank and Trust Com pany to secure certain indebted ness therein named, which instru ment appears of record in Book of Mortgages 19 at page 592, Records of Yancey County; And whereas, by an instrument dated January 17. 1936, recorded in Deed Book 84 at page 270, Re cords of Yancey County, the Cen tral Bank and Trust Company through its proper officers and agents duly assigned, for value,' the said note and deed of trust to John Bennett; And whereas, the said John H. Included in the articles to be sold are a 600x16 tire, electric heater, electric broiler, electric lamp and a large number of other items- On the following Friday night, Nov. 1, the elemen tary grades will present a program and a Baby Com test will be held. A number of local babies have been entered in this event. The King and Queen of the first grade will be selected also.
