She becomes a candidate for queen by filling and mailing this official entry blank, and also agreeing to these rules. After becoming a candidate, she wig be supplied with post card ballots that she may use to secure whatever vote she can. The voting ballots in The Asheville Citizen, The Asheville Times, and the Farmers’ Federation News mas also be used for voting. Only Tobacco Growers are entitled to vote (not their entire family.) Each grower may vote for only one candidate. The votes will not count unless they have been properly filled in, and signed. No past queen of the Asheville Tobacco market is eligible for this year’s contest. All votes must be in, or postmarked by midnight, Nov. 10. A candidate must agree ihat if she is elected queen she will bo present for the opening of the Asheville Tobacco market and the other functions and “celebrations in connection with the Ashe ville Tobacco market unless some unforeseen difficulty should prevent her front doing so, and also allow her name and photo graph to be used in connection with these events. Should a candidate use all her ballots, she may secure addi tional ballots by writing to the Tobacco Queen Contest, Box 449, Asheville, N. C., and requesting additional ballots.
