Friends have learned here of the sudden passing of Mrs. Eva Ligon, mother of the Rev. D. A. Mcßight, in Premont, Texas._ She had been visiting the Mc- Rights but was preparing to return to her home in Sheffield,, Ala. when she suffered a heart attack. Funeral services and bur ial were held in Sheffield. Burton Baxter is slowly improving from injuries he received when he fell through the barn loft 3 weeks ago at his home.
