Mrs. Lon Roberts has been ill of flu and compli cations for the past two weeks. Mi. and Mrs. Will Young of Greenville spent the week end here with their mother, Mrs. Fillmore Young. J. N. Barnett has been confined to his home for several days because of an attack of flu. Clifford Peterson has been ill of flu for the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hev ner and Margaret Hensley were here from Lincolnton J for the week end. RIVERSIDE NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Will Evans, Ola and Jack of Asheville spent last week end here with relatives. The survey will be con- j ducted by a group of spec-' ial enumerators who have; completed a three-day in- Jstruction course at the State Department o v f Agri culture here. Olaf Wakefield, a feder al-state agricultural statis tician, will supervise the project. He said the final will provide a record ofj farm construction and will j show the quality of farm housing and facilities as related to farm family in come. He added that these! results will be used by gov ernment agencies, colleges agricultural groups and others interested in im- j proving rural living condi tions. Similar surveys will be made in other states thro ughout the nation, he said. The counties to be cover ed include Yancey and Swain.
