In the fin als Friday night they edg ed out the Micaville girls and the Tipton Hill boys, each by two-point margins. The day-by-day scores were: Tuesday night: Girls games: Bald Creek 36 Bee Log 35; Clearmont 37- Bakersviile 17. Boys games: Bald Creek 54—Clearmont 22; Spruce Pine 52—Bakersville 32. Nineteen teams, 12 in Class B and 7 in Class A, will compete. The teams are: Class B Spruce Pine Legion team, Old Fort Rockets, Marion Independent, Red Oak, Bamardsville, Tipton Hill, Old Fort Indians, Beacon Mills, Burnsville Lions, 20th Century Heating Co., Par kers Esso, Service Paint. Class A: Mars Hill Inde pendents, Newland, Ashe ville Waste Paper Bomb ers, Burnsville Legion, Banner Elk Independents, Fullums. Boiling Springs Independent, ' The schedule is being ar ranged and will be announ ced by John English, ad jutant of the Legion Post. Bee Log and Bald Creek; the boys Burnsville and Clearmont. On Friday night the Bur nsville girls will meet the Clearmont girls, and the Bald Creek and Bee Log boys will play. The finals will be played Saturday night.
