C. un til 11:00 o’clock A. M. E. S. T., on the date specified in the specifica tions and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read, in the Court Room of the Yancey County Courthouse, Burnsville, N. C., for the furnishing of labor, materials and equipment entering into the construction of the South Toe River School Building and appur tances thereto. Proposals received after the hour and date specified ; will not be considered. Separate bids will be received for the General Contract and the Electrical Contract, for the Heat ing Contract and for the Plumb ing Contract. Complete plans, specifications and contract documents will be available for inspection in the Office of the Architect, Lindsey M. Gudger, 62 Carter Street, Asheville, N. C. after April 19th. Plans, specifications, and other contract documents may be ob tained by prime contractors upon deposit of 150.00 in cash or check, for General Contract: $50.00 in cash or check fox mechanical Con tracts. The full deposit will be re turned to contractors submitting bona fide proposals, provided plans and specifications are re turned to the Architect in good condition within ten days after the date set for receiving of bids. Subcontractor’s deposits will be refunded less cost of printing and handling. Such plans and specifi cations may be obtained on or af ter date mentioned in the specifi cations. All Contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades. Each proposal shall be accom panied by a cash deposit, or by a certified check drawn on and cer tified by some bank or trust com pany authorized to do business in North Carolina in an amount equal to not less than 6% of the proposal: or in lieu thereof a bid der may offer a Certified Check as above of 2% of the bids plus a bid bond of 39b of the bid; said deposit to be retained tty the Owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the success ful bidder ,to execute the contract within ten days after the award, required by law.
