The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Dill ingham of Barnardsville and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Tomberlin of Swiss. The Rev. W. T. Nichols performed the double ring ceremony assisted by the Rev. William M. Fountain, pastor of the Malvern Hills Church. The bride* was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white crepe street length dress with flower trimmed hat and veil. Her accessories were navy blue and she carried a prayer book on which res ted a white orchid shower ed with streamers and baby’s breath. Miss June Dillingham, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Bruce Tomberlin, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Woodrow Dill ingham and Charles Tom berlin. The couple will reside in Leaksville, where Mr. Tom berlin has acceptejF'u posi tion as principal df'HlTr Marshall Fieldr Vocational! School. Carrington, son of Mrs. Ben Carrington of Lexington, Kyi The marriage took place on July 24 in the Methodist Parsonage, Abingdon, Va. with the Rev. H. D. Host officiating. Mrs. Carriington is home demonstration agent for Yancey County. T. Sgt. Carrington is in the regular army and is now stationed at Fort Bragg. Mincer and daughter of Charlottesville, Va. and Adelaide Burg hind of Long Island, N. Y. are visiting Mrs. Mincer’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. F. j Peterson. North Carolina. He served for 42 months in the Mid dle East Theater during World War II as Captain in the U. S. Army. After his military service he was at tached to the U. S.
