Wilson Raleigh— Camp Schaub, Western North Carolina’s new 4-H Club camp built with contributions made and solicited by 4-H mem bers and leaders of 15 coun ties, will be formally dedi cated on Saturday, Sep tember 9. j The camp, at the Moun ! tain Branch Experiment Station near Waynesville, is named in honor of Dr. I, O. Schaub, long-time agri cultural leader and direct or of the N. C. Extension Service for the past 26 years. Dr. Schaub will re tire this fall. Dr. M. L. Wilson, direct or of the Federal Exten sion Service, U. S. Depart ment of Agriculture, will be one of the principal speakers at the dedication. He will give a talk in ap preciation of the services of Dr. Schaub. Dr. Frank H. Jeter, agri cultural editor of State Col lege, will preside. Dr. F. S. Love, bishop of the Meth odist Episcopal Church, will give the invocation. L. Y. Ballentine, * North Carolina commissioner of agriculture, will speak on behalf of the State De partment of Agriculture, and Miss Ruth Current, State home demonstration agent, will speak on behalf of the Home Demonstra tion Department. The dedi cation will be made for State College by Dr. James H. Hilton, dean of the School of Agriculture. Ac cepting it for 4-H members will be Bob Wilson of Wa tauga County and Eliza beth Guice of Henderson County. The formal program will begin at 1 p. m. From 10 a. m. to noon, visitors will have an opportunity to in sspect the buildings and grounds. Picnic lunqh will be served. The camp recently com pleted its first season of op eration.
