THE YAKC3SY RECORD MORB ABOUT— AROUND THE DISTRICT (Continued from page 1) fish was raw and badly scar red up. How did the fish get that way? If it was a wild animal there was away to find out. That evening, Mr. Boone set some steel traps on the ground around the fences.* He also placed traps on the tops of four fence posts, at the pools. He covered the traps* - with moss. The next morning, he rush ed out of the house to ..see what, if anything, he had caught. An amazing sight greeted his eyes atop of one • of the posts—a feathered creature' was wildly flapping its wings in an attempt to es cape the trap that held it. It turned out to be, of all things, a Barred or hoot owl. Still not certain that the owl was the culprit, Mr. Boone put him out ’ of his misery and took him in to the barn where he cut him open. Here was the solution, to the mystery—the owl's stomach was loaded with trout. “Case of the Vanishing Trout” —closed. FOR SALE: 3 Hay Rakes, two Mowing Machines, one • Disc Harrow, horse drawn.
