Texasrdeeeis&ed serious heart trouble. The case was rather unusual l because the trouble was, not in his heart but in his head. • ' One evening after rr busy day at the office, he rushed home, ete a hurried meal and dropped down In a chair to read a paper. He developed indigestion but the thought Occurred to him that it was probably a heart attack. That thought grew until he could scarcely, breathe and he thought he was living his last few moments. Eventually he felt better but / TV the experience left him pretty well shaken. He didn't want to go to a doctor fearing confirmation sUf • of his fears On the other hand he was afraid not .ML ' . to go. Eventually he did go and the doctor gave him a clean bill of heatth. But the problem wasn't A licked vet. He reasoned that if he continued to worry about the situation he would bring on a real heart ' attack. CARNEGIE By analyzing his problem he convinced himself that if he hada good sohnd heart* no amount of fright would bring on a fatal heart attack. In other words he replaced his fears and worries ! with positive, objective thoughts. He also reasoned that if he. ever developed a heart condition, there was nothing he could do about the I' l situation except UVe by good Biles of health which was what he. was ■j doing anyway. Those objective thoughts did not replace the worry in J one single moment. But by concentrating on them over a long period of time he washable to eliminate the fear and worry of heart attacks. r i —■— ■ ' i VaW : t. j beauty - • 1 Always use the right shade of lipstick, I rouge and powder and nail polish; If you j know these shades you are 0.
