Navy To Recruit Clerk-Typists Here The Navy Department anivovm-' cgs that Mrs. R. E. Moore, civi lian recruiting representative who is temporarily stationed in Ashe ville, will be at the Burnsville Courthouse today, July 5, to seek clerk-typists and stenographers for positions in Navy Headquarters. On intervening dates, Mrs. Moore will continue to conduct interviews and tests at the Navy Recruiting Station in the Ashe ville .post office building. Requirements for the positions available call for a typing speed of 40 words per minute and a shorthand speed of 80 words per minute. Beginning salaries range from $264 to $284 per month, ac cording to the announcement. Ap plicants are being interviewed for immediate placement or for ap pointments in the early fall.
