Celebrating Christmas in the
area this year was like never be
fore, as this reporter seems to
i think! It seemed like Christmas
in Florida, since by looking around
in the community seeing people
setting on their porches as they
seemed to be enjoying the mild
warm air.
Christmas eve, here the tem
perature was 60 degrees, with a
mild, cool breeze of wind blowing
at a speed of 20 miles per hour.
We was surprised again the night
before Christmas, around 15 ‘til |
midnight, when a down pour of
rain occurred. Accompaning the]
rain was a thunderstorm! Ever
since we have been keeping a re
cord df the weather, we do not
know of a thunderstorm occurring
in December, especially on Christ
mas night. There was a total of
somewhat over Vi of an inch of
i rain.
Chr’stmas morning here the sky
was clear but later In the day
hlouds soon became to develop
' nnd was mostly cloudy the rest
of the day. Temperatures here
Christmas Day averaged in the
middle to lower 60’s.
This reporter as well as several
others have seemed to be surpris
ed last week when we all began
to hear ourselves talking! We made
. a “Tape-recording’’, was the rea
son the fun was so great. It was
our first tape to make! ~~
This reporter purchased a new
Instamatis Camera last week and
began to take pictures indoors and
) outdoors. The camera was No. 126
film. I

A NEW YEAR WISH
Grace be to you and peace
Though days be dark about us.
God's working out His plan
All enemies regardless.
We know that Bethlehem’s Bab#
Once crucified, is risen
And seated now above
At God’s right hand in heaven.
And soon He’ll come again
His loved ones to deliver.
We’ll share His glory then
Forever and forever.
So while we watch and wait
O, may His love constraining
Help us to live for HIM
In all the hours remaining.
