They do not lik.i to think that men’s days are as grass and all his glory as the glory of a fading flower (Psa. 103: 15, 16). They do not wish to face up to the fact that “it is appoint ed unto men once to die” (Hdb, 9:27). This is natural, for God’s Word declares that death is “the wages of sin’’ (Rom. 6:23) and “after this tb.< judgment” (Heb. 9:27) and tie danger of the “second death" (Rev. 20:14). This Is why I Cor. 15:56 says that "The sting of death is sin.” Yet the Palmist David was not afraid of death. He said: “Yea, though I walk through the valley off the shadow of death, I will fear no evil”—but note the reason: "FOR THOU ART WITH ME” (Psa. 23:4). Dairymen's Con ference To Be Held In Asheville The second annual Western North Carolina Dairymen’s Conference will be held on Wednesday. March 3 in the Administration Building cf Ashevilie-Biltmore College in Ashevillei, according to an an nouncement by E. L. Preheat‘oven to 350°. Into large mixing bowl sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and allspice, Blend in shortening, brown sugar and % cup milk. Beat 2 minutes on medium speed of electric niixer or 300 strokes by hand. Blend in remaining milk and eggs. Beat at medium speed 2 minutes oi 1 300 strokes more. Turn into pan. Bake 40 to 45 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in center comes-out clean. Cool completely before frosting. Spread with Brown Sugar Frosting; arrange pecaa , halves on top of cake/ ,• ; Brown Sugar Frosting 2 tablespoons butter or 'A cup milk margarine 2 cups confectioners sugar j In medium-sized saucepan combine'butter or margarine, brown j sugar and milk. Bring to boil and cook 1 minute, stirring several I times. Cool slightly.
