vice Examiners at the VA Hos
pital, Oteen, North Carolina,
announces a new examination
for Stenographe”, OS-3 (4005)
and GS-*’T44BO) Applications
will be accepted if postmarked
by midnight May 17, 1965.
A written test is required.
Tests will be given at the Post
Offices in Asheville and Sylva.
The register resulting from this
examination wTI be used by
appointing officers of Federal
agencies in the Western coun
ties of North Carolina, west
ward to the Tennessee line and
to Catamba County.
The current Typist register
kept by the Board will remain
in use, the Executive Secretary
announced. No new examina
tion for Typist is being opened.

Yancey Streams
Restocked
In accordance with previous
ly approved plans, the Wildlife
Resources Commission has
completed stocking of 1,200
trout averaging 8 to 10 inches
in length, In the waters of
Yancey County. These fish
were p oduced at the Federal
Fish Hatchery ocated near
Pisgah Forest. District Game
& Fish Protector Mr. D. R.
McGalliard directed the re
lease of the fish and solicited
assistance from members ,of
the local wildlife club and oth
er interested sportsmen. Par
ticipating in the stocking was
W. E. Gooden, Wildlife Patrol
man.
The Wildlife Resources Com
mission points out that the
ccope-atlve effort of all those
Interested in the State's fish
and game resources will be re
quired to bring about better
fish'ng, the favorite outdoor
recreation of so many Ameri
cans.
