She was a lifelong resident of Yancey County, and a member of the Burnsville First Baptist Church for the past 20 years. Surviving are the hus band; two daughters, Mrs. Loy McCurry of Burnsville and Mrs. Ralph Byrd of Pensacola, N. C.; a son, Bill Penland of Pensacola; four sisters, Mrs. T. J. Silver of Old Fort, Mrs. L Q. Woods of Cocoa, Fla., and Mrs. Bill Hensley of Bwannanoa and Mrs. Lawrence Boone of Black Mountain; a brother, Bill Allen of Black Moun tain; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchild ren. . Services were held Sunday at 2 p. m. in Burnsville First Bantlst Church. The Rev. Harold L Mc- Donald, the Rev. A. Z. Jam erson and the Rev Chafes B. Trammel of Elkin, oxi dated and burial was in the AUen Cemetery at Pensacola. Pallbearers were Hwrh, Rsy, Jerry and Avery Alien. June Bradlev, BUI Hensley, ,Tr., Michael Boone and Fred 811ver. BUSANNE EDWARDS Mrs. Susanne Edwards, 81, died Wednesday night, Feb. 9, after a long Illness, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Horace Fender, Flag Pond, Term. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Fender are three dau ghters, Mrs. Leslie Hensley, Flag Pond, Mrs. Hubert Bhelton and Mrs. James Hensley. Burnsville Rt. 3; three sons, Solomon Edwar ds, flag Pond, and Andy and Horace Edwards. Burnsville; two sisters, Mrs. Larken Shelton of Burnsville and Mrs. Lilly Edwards of Erwin, Tenn.; 25 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. Services were held Satur day at 2:30 p. m. at Holcom be Brothers Funeral Home. The Rev. Champ Rice of ficiated and burial was in Buckner Cemetery.
