Sparks, Jr., 23, son of Mrs. Kata Sparks, Route 2, Burnsbille, N. C., completed reconnais sance training Dec. 2 at the Army Armor Center, Ft. Knox, Ky. He received eight weeks of training in the methods of scouting and pa'rolling, with emphasis on the operation of Army jeeps on rugged terrain. Instruction was also given in camouflage techniques, con cealment in na'ural terrain and handling of weapons. Library Club Jl/leets At £.Y. The c.ub voted to put a Christmas tree in the library and to bring mo..My for tire decorations that are to be bn the tree. Shewent to the WL08 tele vision studio for the taping November 29.h and the film was shown December 3rd. (AH TNC) — Army Private Gary C. Jobe, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Jobe, Route 1, Burnsville, N. C., comple*^ed a light vehicle driver course at Ft. Jackson, S. C.. Dec. 9. During the course, he Was trained in the operation and maintenance of military vrfii- cles up to and including the two and one-half ton truck.
