Cattail Briefs By; Charles Wilson The M.i.F, and Family Fellowsh.p Group from ihe Pensaeoia Methodist Church met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fo.d Hensley Thursday night, Jan. 26, at 7:00 p. m. There was a large attendance and the fellowship was en joyed by all. Sunday, Jan. 29, the Pensa cola Methodist Church and the Laurel Branch Baptist Church had a joint service. The Rev. Tommy Weeks, pastor of the Met Wat church, brought an inspira tional message. The conggg gat on met at the Baptist Church. The two churches alternate these services. The Mackey family re turned Friday, the 27th, from an extended business and pleasure trip to Florida. They missed some Florida like days here by being absent from their beautiful home on Rocky Ford Road. Mr. Rowland Craig is off to Flor da for a few weeks visit to Jacksonville and Miami. We learred h s daughter Hel en is sick. Hope he will fnd her recovering. We will miss Rowland. He says he will be hurrying back to Cattail as he rlways gets homesek. Briggs Takes Position In Va. Charles Stephen Briggs, 27, son of Mrs. W. 0. Briggs and the late Mr. Briggs, of ti?i Jacks Creek community, who has been in the U. S. Forest Service for five yasre, assumed the duties of assst ant ranger for the James River District of the George Washington Natonal Forest in Virginia Jan. 1. He will be living in Covington, Va. Before goirg to Covington, Brig™ w as staff forester for the Cro-itan Ranger District with headquarters in New Fern, N. c. He had served there for three years, follow ing two years in the Cataw ba D‘strict with headquarters at Morion, N. C. Stephen is married to the former Mdlicent Patterson of Fo-est Citv, N.
