His battalion supports the division through road and building cons.ruction, and the laying of land mines. Engi neers are also trained in the use of explosives and demo litions. In additon, the battalion is conducting a vigorous civic action program aimed at helping the Vietnamese peo ple better itremselves socially and economically.
