Painting Pointers New Patina For Your Patio “Suffering'from shock and ex posure." Will that !>e your diag nosis when you haul out your lawn and patio furniture for spring? Well, it’s not the end much as it may look that way. Spring is the season of birth and beginning ... and, when it comes to outdoor furniture, of finishing. No matter how rusty or dilapi dated, your metal or wood lawn furniture can be new again with a bright, fresh coat of easy-to apply, weather resistant enamel. One of the easiest to apply and most durable is Acme’s All Sur face Enamel. This modern rust inhibitive enamel will give new color and class to lounge chairs that sat through a long hot sum mer of bumps, scratches and spilled drinks. Whatever outdoor furniture you’re refinishing, you can make the job a “breeze" by collecting all your tools and materials before you start, say the Acme experts. You’ll save time and effort and do a better paint job if there’s sandpaper, a sander, putty knife, paint-and-varnish remover, scraper, mixing bucket, drop cloths, and brushes all with in easy reach. With the surface cleaned anil sanded and holes or seams puttied, you’re ready to apply the enamel. For large pieces, wield that brush and can, but for small areas and irregular shapes—in cluding filigree chairs and tables and wrought iron porch.lattices— an aerosol can is handier. Most outdoor enamels., including Acme’s All Surface Enamel, now come packaged in both conven ient ways. A little paint-up, fix-up effort •luring spring cleaning will have you singing “Summertime and the livin’ is easy,” while lounging mi sparkling!}' beautiful outdoor furniture.
