LOCALS Min Sharon Dymn Howell, a rising senior at Southern School of Pharmacy, Mercer Unive’.- sty, Atlanta, Go., recently spent her spring vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rich ard H. Howell at Green Moun tain. Sharon will work as a Phar macy Intern at Emory Un var sity Hospital in Atlanta during her summer vacation this year. M sses Becky and Alice Tho* mas, Debbe Cassida and Anita, Fcx were guests of Lees-Mcßae College over the week-end. They represented the Newdale Pres byterian Church. Miss June Ramsey of Burns ville, who last week got her de gree 'n Anesthesiology at Mem orial M ssion Hospital in Ashe ville, has accepted a pcs tion with Cleveland County Hospital in Shelby, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Edwards and daugh'er of Charlotte visit ed Mrs. Edwards’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ashton Ramsey, over the week-end. Mrs. Troy Ray has returned to her home in Burnsville, after div ding her tme during the winter months with her sen in Wash ngton, D. C., daughter in New Jersey and another daugh ter n Asheville. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Boyles and two sons have moved from their hon e on "Water Tower Hill” to Orlando, Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Phii Ray and Mrs. Bruce Westall v'sited in Charlotte last Thursday. Mr and Mrs. Charles Wesson who have spent the last two months in New Jersey, have re turned to their home in Celo. Miss Katrina Hunter, assistant to the Academ c Dean of Mars Hill College, is spending a week’s vacation with her sister, Mrs. Herman Bostlan in Toms River, New Jersey. She also visited her aunt, Miss Hope Buck in Knoxv He, Tenn. The family of Mrs. David M. Buck, celebrated her 89th birth day on Sunday with a small din ner party, wth only members of the family present. A wh'te birthday cake, with candles, and red roses, centered the din ing table She enjoyed rece ving many cards and telephone calls from her friends. She is looking forward to her 90th birthday. They were ac companied to Raleigh by Miss Paul ne Peterson. They were all impressed with N. C. State House, The Capitol, the Colisium, the Justice Bu lding and the en tre tour of Raleigh given them by Sgt. Huskins. Miss Peterson returned to Bumsv'lle with Mrs. Sam J. Huskins and Peggy.
