Twenty-seven "eager bea
ver" participated in a finger
painting session at the Child
ren's Hour this past Monday
morning at 10:00 a. m. in the
? Yancey County Public Library.
Assisting Miss Coletta were
Mrs. Nellie Styles, Mrs. Jim
Roland, and Mrs. Mary Young
After completing their own
finger painted creations, Miss
Coletta read the children an
appropriate story, "This Thumb
print" by Ruth Krauss.

Jon Duncan Mackey, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Jon C. Mackey
of Route 6, Burnsville,» has
been tapped for Blue Key ho
norary fraternity at Presbyter
ian College in recent tapping
ceremonies.
Jon, a senior at PC, is a
psychology major who plans to
enter the military upon gradua
tion.
Blue Key is composed of
those men students who haw
demonstrated outstanding lead
ership in their campus activi -
ties. The PC Chapter holds
two tappings annually and is
currently composed of 17 mem
bers.
