Children’s Hour Held "Hasold And The Purple Crayon", a filmslrip for child ren, adapted from the book by the author, Charlotte Johnson, 4 ~ entertained 18 children at the Children's Hour this past Mon day morning at 10:00 a. m.and afternoon at 3:00 p. m. in the Yancey County Public Library. After the presentation of this filmstrip, each child was givm a piece of paper and "his own purple crayon" to create in continuity with Harold and his purple crayon. Following this, Miss Theresa Coletta read to the children, "Goggles", ano ther episode of Peter and his dog Willie. "Goggles",written and illustrated by Ezra J.Ke ats, is a recent addition to the col lection of children's books in the Yancey Comity Public Li - brary. Mr. Turner is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Turner of Roanpke, Virginia. Mr. Turner has a B.S. and M.B.A. degree in Business Ad ministration from East Tennes see State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. He is curren tly serving with the U.S.Amy at Bayonne, New Jersey. Miss Gomto is majoring in English and Journalism at ETSU and will graduate on March 18. The wedding is set for Much 28 at 2:00 p. m. in the Green Mountain Presbyterian Church.
