Mclnemy and Morris D. At kins took place May 2,1970 at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Sullivan's Island,S.C. The Rt. Rev. J. L. McLaughlii conducted the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. R.MclnemySn of Sullivan's Island, S.C. and the bridegroom is the son of the late Thomas M. Atkins and Mrs. Thomas M. Atkins of Pen sacola, N.C. The lovely bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in traditional white sa tin peau de soie and Elizabeth Taylor type lace. The sculp - tured bodice of Chantilly was fashioned with three quarter length sleeves finished with handclipped scalloped meda - lions touching the molded rtck line. The satin peau skirt was designed with a shaped skirt with a built in full chapel train Her veil of imported silk illu - sion was attached to lace match ing the gown, enhanced with irridescents and tiny seed pearls. The bride's Matron ofHonor was Mrs. W. A. Banks of Eums ville, N. C,, sister of the bride groom. Maid of Honor was Miss Margaret Ann Me I n e my of Sullivan's Island, S.C.,sis ter of the bride. Miss Mary Jo hanna Mclnemy and Miss Pran ces Lynn Mclnemy, both sisters of the bride* from Sullivan's Is land; and Miss Sherry Lisa Banks of Burnsville, niece 0f........ the bridegroom served as the bride's attendants. Flower girl was Miss Anna Maria Mclnemy Sullivan's Island, niece of the bride. The Maid and Matron of Honor wore gowns of Momi n g Blue Imported chiffon featuring flowing lines banded at the waist Empire style with silver braid trim and Kaboukie slee/e panels dipping to the hemline. Their veils were attached to matching headpieces. The Junior Bridesmaids wore gowns of Pale Blue Organza de signed with high necklines, lopg full sleeves, and softly gathered skirts finished with satin peau de soie at the neckline and banded hemline. Their head pieces were of matching satin peau. Mr. W. A. Banks of Bums - ville, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, served as his Best Man, Groomsmen were Mr. Randy Banks of Burnsville,ne - phew of the bridegroom; Mr. John Holmes of Charlotte, N . C., friend of the bridegroomjM: Edward R. Mclnemy Jr. of Sul livan'' Island and Mr. Michael R. Mclnemy of Columbia, S. C., both brothers of the bride. Ringbearer was Master Joseph Scott Mclnemy of Sullivan fc Island, nephew of the bride . The bride's mother wore a pink polyester double knit dress and a hat of pink chiffon petals. Her corsage was of white carnations. The groom's mother wore a blue imported silk suit with a matching whimsey of blue flowers and net. She wore an orchid corsage. A reception followed the ceremony, held in the Stella Maris Church Hall. The bride has been employ ed as a teacher, having gradu ated from Gen. Wm. Moultrie High School and Columbia Col lege. Mr. Atkins is a graduste of Cane River High School and Western Carolina University .He is presently en r*' as a Sales Engineer at Wang Labora tories, Inc. Following a wedding trip to Nassau the couple will reside in Charlotte, N.C.
