Cynthia, Vicki and Vicky are rising seniors at East Yan cey High School. All are Beta Club and Glee Club mem bers and all were marshalls for the 1969-70 graduating class. Vicki Banks is on the staff of the East Yancey literary ma gazine and is 1970-71 cheer leader. She was homecomirg queen in 1969-70. Styles Gets BS At Mm HOI Virgil Lee Styles, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Maurice Styles of Charlotte, formerly of Burnsville, graduated from Mars Hill College on Sunday, May 17. He received a dou - ble major in Chemistry SMrth ematics and made the deads list almost every semester of the four years he attended col lege. Virgil will continue his stu dies at the University of North Carolina this fall for his Mas ters Degree. He is employed for the summer with Stanchrd Chemical Products Inc. of Char lotte. Vicki Banks Randy Mclntosh Girls State was founded to provide the privilege for high school girls to learn, by their active participation, the rights and responsibilities of an American citizen. Randy Mclntosh, son of Mrs. Louetta R. Harris and the late James E. Mclntosh of Cane River, will attend Boy's State this summer at Wake Fo r e st. He is a rising senior at Cane River High School and a mem ber of such clubs as the Con - federate staff, Student Council, Science Club, French Club; Monogram Club. He is on the school football team. Last year, Randy received the Soph omore Citizenship Award. When he graduates, Randy plans to attend Mars Hill Col - lege. Boy's State is sponsored by the American Legion Post. No 122.
