Mb. Dorothy Blackwell is on a vacation from West Palm Beach, Fla. She is staying at the home of Mb. W. Z.Robison * Mr. and Mb. Thurman Thrift of Shelby, N. C. were the weekend guests of Mr. and Mb. Thomas Bums of Hialeah, Florida. * Dr. and Mb. Garland Amp ler were guests of Mr. aid Mb. L.H. Law mg of Brevard, N.C. recently. They attended the Music Center Concert given by Madame LIU Kraus. * Mcs. Mary Cecile Severs vi sited her son and family, Mr. and Mb. Bob Seveß in Winston- Salem. She also visited her daughter and family, Mr. and Mb. J.R. Pate. The Pates returned home with her for a visit at her home in Bald Creek. Two sisters have been visiting also, Mb. W. G.Bailes from Rockville, ILL. , Mb. Kirk Wallen from Johnson City,Tem and a nephew, Mr. and Mb.W. G. Bailes Jr. and family from Peoria, 111. * Mr. and Mb. Paul Young have had as their house guests, Mb. Howard Johnson of Kings port, Term, and Mrsjohnson's daughter, Dr. Peggy Duncan of Dunn, N.C. * Miss Lynne Metcalf spent last week in Myrtle Beach,s* C. She was accompanied by her mother, Mb. Zenas Met calf and sister, Miss Doris Metcalf. * Mr. and Mb. Andrew Dick and children, Andrea and Drew, of Miami. Florida spent last week as hohseguests of the Edward Yuziuks here in Bums - ville. Mb. Dick is Mr.Yiziuli niece. * Mr. and Mb. Jack Weaver of Goldsboro, N.C. have been visiting Mrs. Weaver's Mr. ~nd Mb. SelwynHensley. * Mr. and Mb. Richard Shuf ford of Brevard spent several days with their parents hstweek. Lester Heavener of Asheville spent last week with the Molt Hensley family. Mss Betty Hensley, also of Ashe ville, spent the weekend. * Capt. and Mb. Lester Ralph Heavener announce the birth of a son, Lester R. Heavener ID, on August 7at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. They are the proud parents of three chun ters also. * Mr. and Mrs. Qren Thomas of Pine Tops, N.C. visited Ms. John Bennett and Mr. Rush Wray at the Nu Wray Inn last week. * Mb. Carl Silvers and child ren of Brookline, Long Island, N.Y. have been visiting Mb. Silveß father, Mr. GO. Ellis and Mb. Ellis and spending some time at Mtn. Wilderness. * Mr. and Mb. Two of their grandchildren accompanied them home for a visit for two weeks. * The Bolens Creek Baptist Church held "Open House" in their new parsonage on Sun day afternoon.
