Cecil Higgins. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Park Peterson of Green Mountain. She attended East Tennessee State University. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Mae Buchanan and the late Shelby Cox. He is a gra duate of Harris High School and is employed at America n Thread Co. in Marion. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown with appliques of imported re embroidered lace and pearls on the bodice, sleeves, skirt and chap>el length train. Her match ing lace mantilla was attached to a pillbox headpiece. She carried a bouquet of whi t e rosebuds with a white orchid. Mrs. Bill Young of Bums - sister of the bride, was matron cf honor. She was dress ed in a bronze Empire gpwnwith matching headpiece and she carried a nosegay of gold and bronze pompons. Mrs. Virginia Duvall and Miss Judy McCurry were brides maids. Claude Gouge of Spruce Fine was best man and Bill Young, brother-in-law, and Larry Pe - terson, brother of the bride, were ushers. A Cake Cutting was held af ter the rehearsal on Thursday night.
