County a better place in which
to live and raise a family.
Strong support for the Uni

during the past week. The

Burnsville Men’s Club Discusses UF
The forthcoming campaign
of the United Fund was the
principal subject of discussion
at the Burnsville Men's Club
meeting last Monday n i ght.
This discussion was led by club
president Mack B. Ray, who
during the previous week had
tentatively agreed to accept
the position as chairman of the
annual drive, provided that
sufficient support was eviden
ced by the club and others to
give reasonable promise of a
successful campaign.
The reaction to Ray's pre
sentation of the UF problem in
Yancey County in recent years
was holehearted, unanimous
support for making an all -out
effort this year to have a suc
cessful fund drive.
