Kennedy, pastor of the church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cooper, She is a junior at Cane River High School. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. La wrence Grindstaff of Rt.l,Green Mountain. He is a senior at Cane River High School. This was covered with white orchids with stream ers of white satin love-knots. The maid of honor was Mbs Debbie Bodford, friend of the bride. She wore a long sleeve street -length, empire waist yellow dress of polyester and trimmed in gold braid. Her headpiece was a yellow veil of illusion centered with a yellow bow. She carried a long-stem yellow rose bud. Bridesmaids were Mbs Fre dia Allen of Marshall, cousin of the bride, Mbs Suzanne Banks, Mbs M*lb«a Melton, and Mbs Loretta Kampf, all friends of the bride. They were dressed identical to the honor attendant, only in green polyester. Their headpieces were green veib of illusion aen tered by a green bow. They also carried long-stem yellow rose buds. The flower girls were Mbs Pam Hensley and Miss Fht Hens ley, nieces of the groom. They were dressed in yellow polyes ter dresses trimmed in white lace and carried a basket of assorted spring flowers. The pianist was Mrs. Judy Sparks, friend of the bride and groom. She played a combi - nation of traditional, religious and popular wedding pieces. The soloist was Fredrick Buck, friend of the bride and groom. The best man was Larry Pe terson, friend of the groom. Head ushers were G. P.Melton, friend of the groom, and Mich ael Allen, cousin of the bride. Other ushers were Bobby Bu chanan and Van Grindstaff of Bakersville, Mends of the grm. The mother of the bride wore a winter white dress trimmed in pink satin w ith white lace and tiny pearl but tons with black patent acces sories and a corsage of pink carnations. A reception followed in the home of the bride. Serving were Mbs Diane Cooper, sis - ter of the bride; Mrs. Dorothy Allen, aunt of the bride of Marshall; Mrs. Arlene Pfensley, and Mrs. Mary Sue Wilson of Arden, sbtess of the groom; Mrs. Dale Melton and Miss Zoe Ann Kaulf, friends of the bride. Also attending the guest register was Miss Zoe Am Kaulij Mend of the bride. The bride chose as her go ing away outfit a red velvet dress trimmed in white lace and red accessories.
