of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Morris
of Bakersville. He attended
Bowman High School and has
been employed by DuPont Coo

Given in marriage by her
brother, Harold, the bride wore
a gown of white satin, empire
style, with lace trimmedsleasss
and bodice was accented with
tiny beads and seed pearls. The
generously full train was at
tached at the shoulders w ith
lace trim and tiny beads.
The bridal headpiece of ny
lon taffeta with lace petals
trimmed with seed pearls, was
centered with rosette and lace.
The nylon tulle veil cascaded
to wrist length. She carried a
bouquet of white rosebuds with
pink and white streamers.
Mrs. Melba Webb of High
Point was her sister's matron of
honor. Her dress was pink with
lace bodice and chiffon covered
foil skirt. She carried a single
long-stemmed rose.
Mrs. Shirley Ray of Hickory
sister of foe bride; Willa Mae
Presnell, sister-in-law of the
bride and Mrs. Marilyn Sparks,
sister-in-law of the groom,ser

bride, Richard Sparks, brother
in-law of the groom and Harold
Willis, friend of each.
The bride's mother chose a
light beige dress with brown ac
cessories and a corsage of yel
low carnations.
The groom's mother wore
dark beige and brown accesso -
ries. She also wore yellow
carnations.
Following the ceremony,the
cutting of the wedding cake
was held at the church. Mis.
Kate Robinson, Ms. Glenna
Buchanan and Mrs, Berl Thomas
served as hostesses.

Robeson went to West .Ashe vile
Trinity Baptist Church to hear
Dr. Howard C. Estel of Calton,
California preach on Monday,
March 7th.

Ruby Hall has been transferred
to Spruce Pine Hospital and is
improving nicely.
